Realistically, how the bloody hell any self respecting Genwunner can hate on BW considering it was the first Gen (and still the only Gen iirc) to actually go balls to the wall with literally ZERO reused Pokemon for the entire main campaign is beyond me. BW was fresh as fuck. So much goddamn effort in those games. The storyline and general atmosphere was so much more mature and interesting than pretty much anything outside of maybe Colosseum. Both rivals were genuinely likable characters this time around instead of the hamfisted, ADHD mental defective of Gen 4 or the pussy-ass, cancer patient of Gen 3. Both player characters also had much cooler designs than anything from the aforementioned Gens. Idk what else there is to say, because I'm thinking of other things to list out, and it's nearly every single facet that was a massive fucking improvement over Hoenn and (especially) Sinnoh.
