>>37522249SM's original dex had barely anything from Gen 6 though. I think most of USUM's dex additions were from Gens 5 and 6, since those weren't that highly represented in the first place, whereas almost all of Kanto's dex is in both sets of games with a few additions in USUM (and four of those were the Kabuto and Omanyte lines since every fossil was put in USUM).
If it's the same size as SM, there will also be an extra generation to pick mons from, so there will be less room for each individual generation to get representation. What I expect if it is around 250-300 is about 60 or 70 new mons, about the same or probably more from Kanto, and like 25 or so from the rest at best. Maybe a few more Johto and Sinnoh due to cross gens from Kanto like Crobat and Mime Jr and the obligatory Lucario.
It's amazing how much better USUM's dex was than SM's just for adding a load of Gen 5 and 6 mons. Makes the Kanto pandering feel less obnoxious in the regional dex.
