They removed some dungeons/areas and reworked some areas that didn't need it at all like Mauville while keeping too much other stupid stuff like HM puzzles the same because it needs to stay "true" to the source material, even though you've already changed a bunch of shit.
No gym leader rematches, no features from Emerald like how HGSS had Crystal stuff, the postgame is a 20 minute cutscene, there are no cool postgame legendary events its just "Look a portal appeared!"
Dexnav was cool but overall they were awful remakes. Would rather just play Emerald.
