>>37524411>game is on the fact track to more sales than XY and SuMo's lifetime sales in less than a yearThis is just factually wrong, in fact XY and SM each sold more copies than LGPE in their first two months.

And there's nothing indicating that LGPE will break this trend.
>>37523957If you're really not shitposting, OP, it's because the games are a big middle finger to long-time fans who've stuck with the franchise all this time, all to sell to a group of people who didn't stay invested in the franchise after the big "fad" died down in the 90's. While it might seem real petty to you, the removal of held items, abilities, and every Pokemon past the original 151 is a huge loss for a lot of us.
I've personally played through Red and Blue literally hundreds of times now, and FRLG numerous times as well, so I don't really have a desire to go back to Kanto, let alone in a game that's been gutted of the battling depth that I stuck around for in later generations. All they had to do was make all the newer mechanics and shit unlockable in the postgame and give it bank compatibility, and I would have been happy with it.
All that said, the number one reason LGPE gets so much hate is because it's extremely concerning if Gamefreak decides to base future main titles on it.
