The most challenging parts of recent games were the USUM Totem Pokemon because the allies weren't always the same type as the Totem, and the AI used strong albeit gimmicky strategies. The trainer battles were shit though.

the only thing there with synergy is steelix to deal with rock types and even then it doesn't even have fucking earthquake and shares water/ground weaknesses. drifblim is also okay as far as trolly hax sets go but stop acting like his team was amazing or groundbreaking.

bit silly though surely to design a fire elite 4 with so few few types in the dex. Why not wholesale swap him and Gardenia who could have had a pretty unique team of:
Torterra
Roserade
Wormadam

There’s a difference between having a theme related to fire and just slapping a fire move on every mon. Drifblim is the only one that makes sense in that regard
