The fact that every main game in the series is effectively just Red and Blue reskinned proves Red and Blue are the best. You can't top the originals. Everything else is just desperately trying to emulate the success.

OoT is just LttP in 3D. TP is just trying to recapture the OoT audience after Wind Waker. Wind Waker is just OoT but cartoony with a worse version of Hyrule Field. Mario 64 actually changed things, but Sunshine and Galaxy would just be reskins of Mario 64 with gimmicks tied to them (FLUDD, Gravity).

Pokemon is straight up just the same game but with added QoL, new graphics, and some new box filler shitmons added each iteration.
