Eelektrik don’t evolve through experience, but contact with an evolution stone
I felt it was more of a mutational evolution

Not that they're badly designed, the art style for them didn't fit Pokemon's established art style so man of them came off as wierd looking.

It really is though, most of the Gen 5 dex fits 1:1 with the roles of Gen 1 mons.

Despite some people being annoyed by this, I found it quite interesting
Unova was the first that wasn't based on Japan, so it seemed like a logical decision
Unrelated animals that share an ecological niche is a thing after all

If Elektross' teeth were in the inside of its mouth it would easily be one of my favourite pokemon. Mouth just looks too wierd for me
