It's not my favorite, but out of the past 2-3 generations I think Barbaracle best captures what I want out of a Pokemon design. While I can't say I've disliked the chosen shillmons from the 3DS era, there's something to be said for the 'mons that were never meant to be popular or pretty or powerful. If it's got good reasoning behind it, I really appreciate an "ugly" design.
Now if we could get it Crabhammer and an easy way to add 2 stages to its base critical hit rate...

No, seriously, this is drawn in early Digimon style. The heavy usage of black, the bulging veins, the messy organic texturing, the crosshatching, it's definitely an homage to classic 90's Digimon art. I like it.

Grass types are my favorite, and I like the concept of a mon you can get utility out of. Lorewise, having a pokemon you can travel on is probably a necessity for the real serious traveling trainers.
