They have nice HP but they can bare;y take super effective hits so all that health doesn't do them many favours.
My favourite ice type is Glaceon because it's cute and has a fat butt.

I like the evo line but even being a sinnoh fetus I have to admit mamswine didn't feel all that natural of an evolution, most the sinnohs have this problem, but can get away with it if they look good but mamo looks kinda dumb (blue face? what? shaped like a lump, chunky feet, no longer "wooly" etc) looks to plasticly basically

First two are great with swinub being especially fantastic. Mamo falls flat. They really should've gone all in with the mammoth theming and at least given it a short trunk. And why ditch piloswine's ears and covered eyes? They were great.
Also it can't eat because its mouth can't reach the ground without those tusks getting in the way. Another reason it should've had a trunk.
Lots of fun to use in pvp, I'll give it that.

I don't think Lapras is very controversial to have as a favorite ice type, it's just a cool pokemon.
