Are there seriously a ton of people who have been with the series since day one that are still just as invested in the series as they were when they popped in the original gameboy cartridge? I'm not saying people who are like that are stupid and this isn't a statement about the quality of the current games or anything. I just want to know how do you people do it? How have you not been completely fatigued by the series? It's not as if it changes very much at all between releases.
I've still got a fondness for Pokemon that's never going to go away but nothing is keeping me invested, weather it be a new game or a game that pulls at my nostalgia. I want to get back into it but it feels like i'm forcing myself.
Old timers only. Not really interested in the insight of people who've only been around since gen 4 or newer.
