Then what are things GF can, and should do to make the franchise great again? Conform to our wishes (following Pokémon, Battle Frontier, etc)? Fuck the genwunners in their asses with a cactus? Increasing the general difficulty of the games? Anything else?

Being more modern, trying to make a reboot and not staying in their roots which will make every pokémon mainline look old. And of course, hiring new competent staff would make everything better.

Selectable difficulty/better Level scaling, full camera control (and design areas around this, tuck hidden items away behind corners, hide a Hidden Grotto or something behind the entrance to a route, etc), Pokemon Bank compatibility, and bring back Union Rooms with stands for battle spectators (who can bet items and Pokedollars on players winning).
Also Pokemon Bank compatibility and Battle Spot/GTS/Wonder Trade.

This, its weird how most spinoffs sns UO better than mainline, and GameFreak's other titles end up as shovelware that only sell because people think it has something to do with Pokemon.
