>>37550015I think it has lot of interesting mons and the so called former beta designs from pre-Gen2 release being reworked into Gen3 mons. Of course it also has a bunch of ugly and not so pokemon looking one monsters too, Mightyena, Linoone, Beautifly, Diaper Meditation Kid, Digim- Blaziken, still don't understand how does Shroomish suddenly becomes Breloom, still wondering if Skaloth has bones at all and its stupid looking final form, the whole literal digimon line that is Exploud, Electrike's body shape (is the head like 50% of its body?), fucking Swalot could have been at least a special attacker Muk but dude Slow Frail Mixed Attacker was Hoenn's manifesto for most of its mons, the boring camel, Spinda's huge head announcing the Gen5 and post era starter trend, Cacturne ruining Cacnea, titballs cloud, Tropius still has no tail...the rest is good honestly, Azurill wasn't necessary at all however.
Gen3 also kept the flawless legendary design appeal legacy until Gen 5 happened, the Regis will be forever bullied for their perfection and therefor will never get the buffs they deserve.
I feel the region was "exotic" on purpose even its mons design theme to differenciate itself from the previous two generations.
