Not to mention there are multiple ways to translate Japanese to English sentences, due to an abundance of synonyms, so just because he didn't type word-for-word how some fansubber probably did, doesn't really mean much.
But, again, I think you're reading too much into it. I've written stuff that people did fan translations of, even though I could've translated them myself, and I never had a problem with them adding additional contextual lines to my dialogue, that I didn't *literally* put there, to make the sentence flow better in English, Spanish, or whatever. Nobody else I know who writes or draws really cares either way; we're usually just amused when people translate our work.
