It's meant to be abstract, so there is no correct way to view it. Its name is a combination of Sigil and Glyph so it probably is related to unown somehow though.

Lines, Nazca Lines. And I dont think it's based on them really, it's on Bulbapedia but it's just some bullshit from the users trying to explain it and not an official designation. Its Jap name is Symboler though, which sticks to the ideas of Sigil and Glyph both being symbols.

It has a similar style, but it looks nothing like any of them. They're all of animals, Sigilyph is just shapes. It was probably intended to be from the same ancient peoples that made the lines, but not literally the lines.
