Gen 8 pokemon is going to get revealed in about a week. The pokemon direct will be announced in tomorrows Nintendo direct and it will be next week. The direct will be a big blowout revealing how the game looks/starters/legendaries/overworld etc. and they’re going to do all of this because of the pokemon day events at Nintendo nyc.
