>>37561432>if you get some mons with decent attacksYeah, that's a big if.
At it's core, this is a gacha game, and like all gacha games you have to pay through the nose to get anything worthwhile.
I don't feel like dropping $100 on a (((free))) game to get one decent figure and a metric load of unusable crap.
And! Even once you get lucky enough to get a good, meta-centric mon, you have to spend days of grinding to level it to max, unless you have been playing the game since fucking alpha and have enough resources stored.
Now after all that is done, you can finally start playing the game.
>use those things to the best of your ability, don't just fucking gloss over them and not bother reading what they doSo you can learn that the only way to win is to force your opponents to attack, using broken abilities and attacks that will be nerfed or powercrept within a few months, because actually attacking is a pointless gesture when it has a 1/6 chance at best of not instantly killing yourself, and it's usually more like 1/4 for favorable attacks.
>situations like a pawn killimga queen can happen in your favor if you actually plan out instead of gun amd runThe joke here is that situations like a pawn killing a queen massively benefit subhuman huehue troglodytes over actual planning, and that shit happens just often enough that you want to tear your hair out but just rare enough that people like you can still defend this POS "game". It literally doesn't matter that you plan if the plan ever relies on defeating a piece. Every single combat is a fucking coinflip, with ZERO security except in weird fringe cases.
The only scenario where I can understand someone defending this game is if they already have sunk a shitload of money into it and feel the need to justify it to themselves.
The sad part is that somewhere, buried under a mountain of bad design, is a good game, and I really wanted it to be good. It's just not.
