Groudon is the land Pokemon, and land is dry, therefore it's a metaphor to a period without news.

Kyogre is the sea pokemon, and since sea is fresh, it's a metaphor to fresh content.

Rayquaza is air, and since air is polluted by dumb humans, it's gonna end us all in the nearby future.

During the ORAS hype train there was a trailer that was being hyped up to reveal some new info on PokeTV or whatever that live action thing is called. Instead it was just one of the earlier trailers that was already shown at the time, which showed the in-game scenes where Groudon comes out of the ocean (which is where the "WOW, IT'S FUCKING NOTHING" comes from) and Kyogre does some shit I don't remember but who cares about that virgin.
