It's honestly not a bad game. It just targeted towards casuals. Gamefreak already said that since the Pokemon fanbase is so split that they're going to start making 2 types of games. Go games for casuals and traditional polar opposite games for harder core fans.
I enjoyed playing through Let's Go. My biggest complaint was the fact that there were only 151 Pokemon, no abilities, and no held items.
