Sun and Moon are so bad that XY look like Masterpieces in comparison and why I shill the XY are mediocre meme because SM were truly bad games and XY are still far better than SM but far worse than the rest of the franchise bar Gen 1

I like the original SM’s pokedex better than Kalos’s but that’s about it honestly. Both XY and SM had cool post-games with Looker, but USUM fucked everything up

Why?
I just finished US yesterday and don't really understand why people hate gen 7 so much. It'd definitely be tedious to replay, but the first time through is fine. Was SM significantly worse than USUM?

XY had the same retardation with LGPE, obsession over the 3D rendered models for battles. Almost the entire game outside of that was a regression, even the goddamn overworld which looked worse than BW2's 2.5D.

SM wasn't nearly as obnoxious. What was bad about it is less obvious to a casual player who don't care for pacing, species availability or level design. Lumiose City is brilliant, and nothing in Gen VII holds a candle to it, but nothing else in Gen VI does either.

The only aspects that are worse are HMs still existing and the difficulty being the easiest in the series.

It came out around the time Gen 6 came out, it was the newest fad in Japan but then it started going into its own uncharted territory. It was popular for a while but it kind of tripped itself over bad decisions, delays, and what not.
