>>37575286I thought this one sucked too. It had no focus due to the excessively large cast and did the same bullshit with the legendary hating humans as always. The major conflict not only felt absurd but the solution was even dumber (also Lugia is a fucking legendary, I'm sure the damn thing could make it back to town without the guide).
First ain't much better though. It's full of missed potential. A what-if story was actually a decent idea but they kept going back to the original show's plot points anyway. Plus the rival really sucked. Should have stuck more to the Ho-oh mystery and the general fresh feeling the journey had at first.
