They wouldn't lose this opportunity to cross-promote Gen 8 with detective pikafarts, wouldn't they? I'm sure trailers for the new game will be aired before the movie in theaters

Film opens May 10th in Americazz. Till then we'll have our first batch of reveals and then E3 will have more. Don't you worry bout a thing

I'm sure gen 8 will have an in game gift/event of Detective Pikachu but like the Hatchu's, it will be locked to a crap nature, have static instead of lighting rod, and lack egg moves.

We might get a cameo, but depending on when they were working on Pokemon designs for Gen 8 it might have been too late.
