B&W are better games that B2&W2. Yeah it may not be better in literally every way, but the overall experience is better. Using a completely new Dex gave the game a breath of fresh air. After all isn't the entire point of a new Gen to get to use new Mon's instead of more Zubat caves? The main quest is infinitely better compared to 2's barely-there one. Pokemon will never be Citizen Kane but N and OG Plasma were fun villains with an actual presence. 2 forgets to even have them exist till the last 20 minutes. B&W also have a logical flow to your route, where 2 is a mess of blocked paths that at points straight up admit they're their for no reason other than to annoy you. If you're going to do that why not just makes HM's required again since at least that didn't break immersion as bad.
