XY and ORAS sold in spite of more flaws than I could bother writing, as I'm sure this site, as well as other places, have shat all over them for months on end (see Zinna hate threads on 2ch lasting over a year, for one), and that was the needed green light that, no matter how much depth they put in their works, the games would sell like hot cakes
now here we are eating that Let's Go! shit, I'd be surprised if gen 8 wasn't any worse
