Usually if a pokemon evolves it's because it's feminine like Tsareena or Serena's Braixen or Sylveon.

Unless you count Iris' Dragonite which was just given to her, we haven't really had any non-feminine or cute pokemon for the main girls since Dawn's Mamoswine and even then the rest of her team was all girly and cute.
