whether you like it or not Go has brought unparalleled revenue and brand recognition to last to the next generation. The franchise ain't going to live off of GF's shitty main games. yeah well the problem is that pokemon go is a very generic phone game ( there's actually a lot of clone with different franchises like the walking dead )
it's a game with no depth, no challenges where people just tap their fucking screen like mindless zombie. worst of all Nintendo now know they can make the game simpler and simpler as long as they give cute pokemon, and that's what we're seeing with the new pikachu/eevee games. because pkm go was so successfully Nintendo realised they can be lazyer

i don't care about Gen V either way to be honest, but it's plain simple to see that the series' popularity was at an all time low. And I'm not saying Go and main line games belong on the same category, but from a business standpoint just compare the revenue brought by Go and the main series titles. Just because you don't like it (I don't either, never played it) doesn't mean it doesn't benefit the franchise

Even after swords, key rings, leys, sandcastles, anchors, furbait starters twice in a row ditto with a screw on it, a dozen abominations that deliberately do not look like pokemon, and the absolute turds that are the barnacles and gen 6 mythicals, people STILL regard gen 5 as having the most out of place dex LMAO

I've spend over 300h on pokemon revolution back in 2015-2016 and if you think this game is bland then every other pkm game ever released is bland as well or every other MMO for that matter

I dunno, I like playing it, but it doesn't really add much other than in-game player interaction, although another problem I have has more to do with the developers making the game linear and not open world. Anyway, there's honestly no reason for GF to make an MMO and the player base wouldn't last or be as profitable as Pokemon Go as much as I hate to say it. The least they could do is hand the idea of a Pokemon MMO to other developers while they work on the next game, similar to Bethesda and ESO.

From XY the series went downhill. I hated the fact they left lot of mysteries with no answers ,like the infamous Lumiose ghost bitch. GF even made a web page about this mystery. Why bother doing it and troll us if you never planned giving us answers? Maybe GF intially planned a Z version, but later they decided to rush XY and say "fuck it, everyone will buy it regardless".
