No I haven't, but Gen 8 is my final generation if it's bad, so I really really hope it's good or even mediocre. I'd be fine with another XY, but another SM/USM/LGPE and that's it

I didn't even dislike Gen 7, although now that I've finally finished it I definitely see what people mean when they say there's no postgame - there's just nothing to do after Episode RR except grind the Battle Tree and look for legendaries in Ultra Warp Ride.

It's hard to look forward to something that we know absolutely nothing about.

XY was great but clearly needed a third version. So many loose ends and missed opportunities.

ORAS did fine for what it was: RS with updated graphics + megas

SM was ok but felt rushed. Countless missed opportunities. You could tell where they were half-assing things. USUM looked promising but didn't deliver on what SM was missing.

Never bought USUM or LGPE. I don't want to support such blatant cash-grabs.

I've kept low expectations for the past few gens but I'm finding myself lowering them further and further. At this stage, I have zero expectations...

To be fair, the only game I’ve played on my Switch that makes good use of the online service is Splatoon 2 and Tetris 99. I would say Smash, but Smash online is shit.

I would rather drive to a local to play Smash with strangers than use the service that I pay for to play because of how bad it is.

Smash's matchmaking is dogshit but lobbies are fine. The only problem with the netcode itself is that it's not rollback.
Although it's P2P like most fighting games, so that doesn't have much to do with Nintendo's servers.

I wholeheartedly agree. XY had numerous flaws but it also had many nice additions, like the PSS and (this is subjective) the most comfy towns and music, I loved just.. being there, wandering around.
