Is there a reason as to why Pokemon Let's Go didn't have a Day and Night cycle? seriously, what was stopping the developers from adding that. I mean, I can kind of understand not adding seasons since that's too hard for Nu Game Freak but what about the night and day cycle.

for the same reason why they didn't redesign kanto to bring it up to modern standards, didn't keep the sevii islands or incorporate the orange islands into the games for the first time ever, didn't do anything interesting with the kanto pandering like bringing back all the beta mons they scrapped or turning missingno into an official pokemon, etc.

Pic related is an official artwork that was in the manual of the original.
That's most definitly what the devs wanted to convey despite technical limitations.

If you don't understand that chibi sprites and simplistic top-down maps in old GameBoy RPGs were abstractions due to hardware limitations and weren't meant to be taken literally, then chances are very high that you're a zoomer...

What, "what"? I think I was pretty clear.

They have day night and complex weather systems that even outdoes seasons in Gen 5 as a result (which modifies what Pokémon types are more common and even provides bonuses) as well as most of the Gen 1 through 4 Pokémon in GO. None of which are present in LGP/LGE.

Masuda really outdid himself... A literal alpha stage mobile game has more content than a so-called main series explicitly console game.

Both those statements are true.

Having night time would be less immersive if all the events in the game are the same. Games aren't more immersive by default just because they have a day/night cycle.

No. Because when it's your own Pokemon they have different movement rates and abilities. Rentals are just one preset and that's it.

REs are far better but even if you were right, it is half-assed anyway. To truly remove random encounters they'd have to all be stationary set encounters around the map. There is still randomness and you will still encounter them randomly.

In fact even more so than in the past since they can initiate encounters as the pong around the screen or fly in lazy set circles/straight lines meaning you'll encounter them AND have them run away (breaking chains) if you walk away.

Which might be nice if they weren't implemented shittily. Try looking for hidden items or simply approaching edges of the box and they are just a nuisance since you talk to them by default while riding with no way to ignore them without putting them back in the ball making their movement speeds null for anything you'd want to do except run around which is better accomplished by FLYING. Especially when they blip in and out because you got to close to a wall which is entirely too easy to do in tiny maps with shitty inaccurate stick control.

No, it's worse because at least many Pokémon can be made 100% in the system you're belittling, while they openly state even in the game itself that nothing is 100% a sure capture in Trash Go.
