So according to the Gen1 beta leaks, this sprite was left from the beta rom.
That's why it's too different from the actual artwork of Venusaur.
Gamefreak was too lazy they didn't even bother to update the sprites and decided to let the beta sprites be in the finale games?
what were they thinking?

No it doesn't. It looks the fucking same except for the proportions of the flower trunk. It's not even close to the most inaccurate gen 1 sprite and there are even gen 3 sprites that are more inaccurate than this.

Venusaur had multiple artworks at that time, but shitfreak didn't update the sprite to be accurate until Gen2.

and this proved that you are a brainlet you couldn't see the obvious differences beteen the beta sprite and the final artwork.
