>>37604128 A while back, someone, supposedly the same person who posted riddles alluding to unreleased Gen 7 Pokemon(for example, a picture of this metal staff with rings around it=Kommo'o), did the same thing for what we believe to be Gen 8's starters. If I can recall, they posted a character from dragon quest, a maze, and some old guy in blue clothing.
Kid from dragon quest wielded a sword, the maze is well known in Greek mythology as being the home of the Minotaur, and the blue guy was related to the kappa somewhow.

If these actually end up being real based on what that leaker said a long time ago, then this will be the first time in 3 Gens that I like the Fire starter again. If they had to go with another biped, then the Minotaur fits perfectly. The design's not bad either, the flame cap is really cool.

>>37604006 I like the rat, it has that touch of fantasy character, especially if the last stage keeps a small size, as a weavile size would be fine.
The minotaur is generic, but the middle stage has a fun look, similar to Pignite.
The kappa is the worst, from the point of view that GF has never created a starter that is not based on an animal, it could be a turtle, a frog, or a duck with elements of a Kappa (For example Golduck or Ludicolo) but no muh kappa's mom. You need change the fist two stages.
