Why was Kahili so underdeveloped in SM/USUM?
Does it have to do with the golf course also being inaccessible? She has potential :(

Ultra was never meant to be anything more than a shitty cashgrab. If they wanted to make it a real third version it would have at least had a whole new island to explore in addition to other additions and changes. Most of their effort at the time of Ultra was probably going into Gen 8 and/or Let's Go.

Not OP but when she showed up at Ten Carat Hill I figured she would be important... somehow.
And then she never appeared again until the E4.

All the other e4 members were pre established characters so she stands out when she just comes outta nowhere.

Platinum was only one version and it was before B2W2. The exact same game as USUM but it was one game called Pokémon Stars would have been perfectly acceptable.

B2W2 set the precedent that a second pair of games would be markedly different from its predecessor. When USUM weren't people questioned the necessity of it being 2 games. Since there was none people realized it was an effortless cashgrab. Add this to the fact that SM already were not very replayable and that there wasn't a game in between and you have a recipe for "Game Freak a shit".

when and where? data miners had said it was modeled like any other distant prop, it didnt even have collision data, nothing to imply it was ever gonna be a walkable area
