>>37612962Nonsense. The fact that they haven't progressed is telling. Games like MineCraft, Tetris, and GTA V have sold like 150+ million copies. Pokémon could do way better than that and instead they're doing 7 - 16 million across TWO games meaning it's realistically more like 3 - 7 million per game if they weren't paired.
Pokémon has the potential to sell dozens of millions of copies with just one content complete pair per new Gen if they just kept the content they had, refined it and added more to bring in new players alongside it.
What they've done instead the last decade in particular is chase trends instead of carving out their own niche like they had and keep dropping players and exchanging them for others which is not what they want if they want to make more money.
On the off years they could just let others do side series games as they were and continue making money as they were.
Returning to their niche and stopping with the 3D bullshit and the like and returning to what they were relatively decent at in the end would also help curb development times and open the door once again to some of the side series that have been cut off because of the main series being 3D now.
Everything they've done is wrong and they seem perplexed by not seeing growth.
It's like the live service retards wondering why they revenue dropping. People don't have time or money for basically the same thing year in and year out. That's what Pokémon had going for it - that it was at base mostly the same game but it wasn't hitting store shelves every year meaning people weren't bored of it.
Just like most of the higher ups in game development/publishing currently, you should never be in this business or even talking about if you honestly believe what you've just typed out there. It just tells people you're a moron.
