So fags, I just passed Ultra Moon and loved it. But just wanted to make sure none of you faggots had trouble with this thing. If you are a retarded streamer I could see you struggling with it, but surely none of you my fellow autists found it challenging. I had a team with all my Pokémon level 65 and I didn’t really knew about this guy until this fight. I lost one Pokémon but my Tyranitar took it out in 2 hits. My fellow autists surely had a team level 65+ by that point right?

Yeah towards the end TR became essential for me. Since I'm on set/not using items, and also trying to keep myself even or underleveled for the E4 and champion. Not sure if I'd be able to win without TR at least with that team since they're so slow. But it's worth it to have some fun matches

Exp Share is in my opinion the best new addition in recent games. It makes building an actual 6 Pokémon team feasible. Before it I would just have 2 overlevelled Pokémon with 4 coverage moves one shot everything. Without EXP Share I would have had a level 85+ Primarina and Tyranitar, for reference. One of the reasons the newer games are more fun in my opinion

Exp Share is great for EV training, raising weak pokemon, and avoiding grinding, but you should almost never turn it on in the main game. You really don’t need it in any 3DS game until before the last gym/trial. X and Y has a 10 level jump after Team Flare, ORAS has a 10 level jump at the 8th gym, and SM/USUM have a 5-10 level jump once you reach Poni, you should only turn Exp share on briefly to catch up

I like to have my team consistently 10 levels above anything I face. There is no way I’m keeping 6 Pokémon’s that strong without exp share. I’m not going to grind that much. Even with it on I had to grind a couple of times during my play through. That’s maybe because I bred an entire team and trained them from level one, but either way I’m not playing another game without it. It’s the reason why I came back, like I said it’s feasible to build a 6 member team without crazy work. And I really don’t care about the excuse that it makes the game easier because it fucking doesn’t. It makes it less tedious and borderline fun. Pokémon has always been easier and exp share in a way has made the game a little more challenging or at least interesting instead of having one or two overlevelled Pokémon one shot everything.

Honestly I slapped a Quick Claw on my Malamar and used Topsy-Turvey to reverse the +2 Necrozma gets. Malamar was about lvl 60, but it's so slow that it couldn't outspeed Nec even without the boosts. I think Malamar absolutely breaks Totems/UBs through that move alone.

Another clever way but you’d struggle against that bug/fairy in ultra sun/moon. The last one, which was tough even for me. I think it was the toughest fight since they also give it a berry that halves a weakness(fire I think) and gets a boosting move. I thought that was tougher and I legitimately thought I was going to get swept(only lost one poke though, but scary anyway).

For you exp haters, i remember I once evolved my turtwig into a torterra before I even got my Pokédex in platinum. Then I just blasted through the game. It was shit like that(having a level 100 blaziken in sapphire for the elite 4) that made me skip gen 5. I came back with 6 and exp share saved the franchise for me because now I could build a team and only have my pokes around 10 levels higher, with the actual possibility of losing one and having to switch around. Instead of retard grinding one or two to where it’s not even fun.

I used Malamar on that one too with success. Granted after the Topsy it OHKO'd still, but my backup, Toucannon, finished it off. Pretty sure most of the game up to the E4 was done with Malamar and Toucannon.

usum was a really good nuzlocke
I can't think of a tighter campaign than usum, there is a lot of option for both pokemon and moves
Definitely worth slightly longer dialogue scenes compared to older games

It's a great nuzlocke but it's also really annoying since there's a load of one off stuff that you'll miss because you encountered a Gumshoos or Pelipper at the wrong time. Plus the fact that every major battle has maxed out stats unlike pre-gen 7 games makes it pretty infuriating. You get insanity like a +speed nature Ribombee being outsped by Hau's Raichu in Malie when at the same level, and this was in Sun and not the Ultra games.
