A Pokemon Direct will be on the 26th of February, exactly one day before Pokemon Day.

The name of the games, region, protagonist, rival, and graphics will be shown, as well as the base starters and a new Eevee evolution.

A portion of the direct will focus on a new type. Light type Pokemon. This is more of a “benevolence” type rather than sunlight which I think will confuse people at first but it will make more sense during the game (a big theme in the game is goodness vs. evil). The generation’s first Light Pokemon shown will be the new Eevee evolution. Light type will also be added to several old Pokemon: they will mention Dunsparce, Blissey, and Tsareena specifically, but there will be several other old Pokemon with this new type added.

The last part of the direct will give a brief overview of the story. Goodness vs. evil will play a large theme of the game’s story. I don’t think I’m explaining that very well (English isn’t my first language, sorry) but it’ll be different from previous games. The cover legendary Pokemon will play an important part and we will see a tease of their shadows but they won’t yet be revealed.
