Why doesn't Smogon do complex banning based on ability? Divide every Pokemon separately based on what abilities it has.
The one Pokemon that gets brought up time and time again is Blaziken. Why not make Blaze Blaziken and Speed Boost Blaziken separate Pokemon?
The only argument I found as to why they don't do this is because it would open up a Pandora's box. For example would Unnerve Tyranitar be valid for UU?
But Smogon tiering is based on usage. Why not have Blaze Blaziken and Unnerve Tyranitar and see how they're played? And then if they're broken, then they will be voted on whether or not it should be banned for OU or UU or whatever. That's how the tiering is done now anyway.
