>>37625801Nothing, the devs/publishers did it. as far as they're concerned, outside often overpriced cllector's editions, there's no point in wasting money on physical things when they can have it in the system menu.
Not sure about Nintendo consoles after NES but all 3DS and Switch games have a manual built into the game card that you can access from the menu.
Well, unless you buy things like Nicalis games on Switch. First run generally have a menu and shit with it.
Love the Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ one the most with all it's nods to TLoZ (which makes sense since the map layout is based on TLoZ's dungeon designs and there are many examples of nods to primarily Nintendo games throughout the items etc., including a Poké Ball one).
In part it makes sense because then digital copies also have a manual but yeah, the lack of shit is disappointing.
I have all of not just my boxes bought over the years, but everything that came in the boxes with them.
>>37627317Clearly that's nonsense, though I wouldn't personally read them before playing. Playing the game is how you should learn to play. I'd only read them after finishing the game for the first time to make sure I'm not missing anything.
