It has my some of my favorite pokemon designs as well as music. Most pokemon games play the same to me, just with visual updates and QoL features. 5 is pretty much the peak of everything I like. The best visuals for the 2D games, favorite dex, good QoL features (reusable TMs), great music. Anyways back to alola, it feels the most like a real place/region. all the games just feel like maps, but alola is warm and fun. I don't think I've ever actually smiled while reading NPC dialogue in older games
