Same reason I'm not hyped about the avengers game. 5 different playstyles means 5 shallow imitations of other games. Same with all regions, if they make all regions then we'll have 7/8 regions with nothing to do in any of them.

How is that done right though, it'd be a mess of loading screens and isolated areas with blockades.
The direction the franchise should move in is seamless and expansive 3D worlds, which requires abandoning the past region designs entirely.

Because I want a new experience, not the same seven regions I've played a million times. If they were somehow able to put in all of the effort to have all regions, imagine what they could've done if they created the biggest region ever with all that effort instead.

I can see them making an All Japan Regions game... Probably for whatever gen they make the final Japanese region. (There's like 2~3 regions left in Japan, depending on how you slice it.)
