Also I think gen 7 had a darn good story too. It definitely had me more roped in than most other gens. Character wise is where it especially shines. Lusamine is a good ass diversion of the usual "Team leader bad big boss" trope, Lillie is great, Hau is a upbeat rival with a few down to earth moments, and Team Skull is a funny as hell team with a badass theme. Theme wise gen 5 was better though. Team Plasma and N were really good antagonist with a actual understandable goal. Honestly I think both are up there for good Poke stories.
