What's the implication here? Are they showcasing every region to hype up the reveal that the next game will include every region?

Based on what we know about Gamefreak (i.e they're fucking shit) they're far better giving a semblance of depth rather than bredth. I say semblance becuase, well, they're just shite aren't they? At most 2 regions like gen 2, if done properly, could be really really good.

Game Freak are really stupid so they expect this hype to peter out by itself because we're mobile players with small attention spans. Or at least that's what Masuda and his cronies think to avoid doing anything substantial.

It would be really long and have a lot of gyms. If GAME FREAK cared about making a good game over maximising yearly profit, it would easily possible.

Kingdom is real, but you don't visit all regions. The game isn't open world but has a variety of different hubs to explore based on regions from past games, as well as a full brand new region.

The new region is kind of small and doesn't feature any routes. The majority of the battles in this main hub will be trainers and gym leaders. Instead you find wild pokemon by sailing out on "treks" to these new, expansive hubs. Totem pokemon are back and are a lot stronger. The main goal of each trek is to scout and battle the land's totem. the main region will grow and develop as you venture out on these quests. Game feels like it has a lot of monster hunter influence.

BTW, what's your favourite Unova location? Mine are probably either area 28 or mistralton tower.
