>>37646454Considering you can realistically evolve this Pokemon into a Quilava by the time you complete Sprout Tower, and that it has a Fire STAB by the time it evolves in HGSS, Cyndaquil is actually pretty good. Early-game is a bit of a drag, but you don't really need super-effective moves at this point anyway. Once it evolves, Quilava can solo almost the entire game for you. Most of the enemies are designed for a Fire-type.
