Way I see it, it's a routine procedure, but it's gotta be done every couple of months or it gets pointy/longer. Like scheduling a really big nail trimming.
What you're describing would not only probably hurt like a motherfucker, but I feel like completely removing the spikes from an innately combat-capable figure is counter-intuitive.
