All 4 of the Alola games have an unused GID and logo for it, they were just too retarded to make it connect to them.
Probably for the same reason anyone thinking they'll be able to transfer from Trash Go to Gen 8 is likely to be in for a rude awakening - they're too incompetent to know how to make transfer possible if they don't build it in from the ground up and Trash Go hasn't been built with that in mind.
