I came to realise that people will shit on you for anything. I was one of the very few girls in high school that would constantly be playing the gba sp at lunch or when I had free time in class. Yeah it sucks but what did they matter to me? I didn't care for dating, I was never interested in sex or parties. I just wanted to go home and play games. Lol
I agree that keeping the volume low or using headphones would be advisable though. Some things should be kept to one's self, but if multiple people are around each other having fun, it's not anyone else's business to shit on them.
