Fanart like OP's pic shows that the same style can be done much better than they made it look. The various outfits available to Game Serena look much better on the whole, but I feel like I hardly ever see art of Game Serena compared to Anime Serena. Even in the original outfit, it's easy to tell which one it is based on the hat.
