What countries/regions can you think of that would make a good base for a pokemon region? Maybe it's because of all the """leaks""" lately but I've been warming up to the idea of an Australia one, starters could be
>water: platypus that evolves into water/poison type
>fire: echidna that evolves into fire/electric type? or some kind of lizard
>grass: ??? kangaroo?
Other ideas:
>large desert area in the centre
>mountain range(s)
>large lakes like sinnoh
>ice based island area in south east (forest and/or snow biome)
>magpie as the early bird pokemon: evolves into flying/dark type
