The name of the new game is Pokemon Journeys. Only one version this time around.
There are exclusives, but they are dependent on the player's device.
The game has multiple regions, including a new one. It's big.
Catching works differently from both the traditional way and Let's Go, somewhere in the middle. It's reminds of how catching legendaries worked in Let's Go, but not exactly.

I think that's the point. It's to encourage trading rather than just buying two games and trading with yourself. If you still want to take the antisocial route it will now cost big bucks to catch em all. They're making trading even more imperative

But it gives a huge advantage to anyone who held off on buying a Switch since most players will have the exclusives for the original hardware.
It also means people can't pick which version they want, and that siblings who share a Switch won't be able to help each other.

It's a terrible idea in every conceivable way and has no advantages.

I have seen some gameplay. The graphics look good. Around Super Mario Odyssey quality I would say. The art style looks like Sun and Moon I would say, but much prettier and higher resolution.
Don't know about the online features.
