huh, what a coincidence, I got a sudden urge like a month ago to just marathon through all of the anime (I had only really watched up through the end of Johto/parts of Hoenn as a kid), mostly having on as background on my smart TV while I do other shit on the computer. Due to being busy with other shit, I'm still on Battle frontier right now, but should be starting Diamond/Pearl later today. Think I'll just keep watching myself rather than on this twitch thing though.

Since I'm in the same boat as that person (who also stopped watching originally around gen3 - I'll say all I know about the Sinnoh arcs is that Gardenia is into some kinky shit and some people ship her with James, Dawn's Piplup is an asshole, and that Silver is in this arc but with a design change and renamed to Paul.

Other than that it's the arc I've actually heard the least about. I have middle-ground expectations for it, as I've also heard that the Unova seasons are the worst ones (shame since that's my favorite region, containing almost all of my favorite gym leaders too), and that the Kalos arc is the best.

Also please tell me this dub eventually gets better/you get used to it. I only just hit the dub change last week, and it was so fucking jarring after marthonning through the previous 8 seasons of the voices I remember. Though most are ok I guess, but Ash's and Meowth's are the worst/hardest to adjust to.

There's a big difference between the voice actors right after the dub changes and once they get used to the roles. They're not as good as the originals, but they were REALLY bad early on.

Thanks. I'm still going through it all because I don't want to pay constant attention, the filler is good background noise while I focus on Vidya (doing both monotype runs for every type and also nonpokemon wise playing the trails in the sky trilogy for my brother's sake). I just only really pay full attention during major things or gym/league battles. Still thanks, this proves a good guide for what to look out for.
