That said, I would expect the game reveal trailer to have been announced in advance - more formally and explicitly than this vague hint, anyway - so I'm hesitant to say that's a real possibility. I just think it's worth adding that there still is a somewhat normal time for something to be announced (even just... the announcement OF a Direct or something) before the day ends.
