Only thing I don't agree with. I really liked the idea of having to fight a really strong Pokemon that also has backup. Although it would have been even cooler if you could use multiple Pokemon, too. Would be neat if there were boss battles where the opponent was a wild Pokemon that was so strong, you had to use your entire team against it at once.

But yeah, everything else was shit. Gen 7 can burn in hell.

this true though - at least a different kind of challenge although i don't think they really count as gym replacements. if gyms alternated with totem pokemon we'd really be cookin with fire.

Yeah I guess it did, but so did every other generation, but they weren't near as boring and hand-holding the as this one.
Even gen 6 wasn't near as bad, and it was like barley a half generation, if we had gotten a Pokemon z gen 6 probably would have blown seven out of the water.

Though Ultra Necrozma is a fucking joke and artificial difficulty, I would not mind more "boss"-like Pokemon. You don't get to capture, you just beat'em up a bit. I could get behind that.

Gen 7 really felt like an insult to me as a veteran player. The tutorials were obnoxiously long, and Rotomdex can piss off. I did not give a shit about Lillie and her family drama; Pokemon is about my journey, not some stupid NPC's.
