You do realize Rhyme City is already a location in the Detective Pikachu game right?

Unless Gen 8 is going to expand on the region that was already introduced like 4 years ago in a spin-off game, then it isn't going to be Rhyme City/London/UK.

The bus stop and design of the bus are the exact same as the ones you find all over central London. As in, not even changed in the slightest.

So yeah, this is definitely based off of London - at least, the transport system is.

Well if you do want me to bring your hopes back up, i'll point out the Hawaii-themed city in Unova's B2W2 didn't stop them making an entirely separate Hawaii region a few years later.

So it is possible that Game Freak will want to design their own mainline UK-inspired region too.

But Rhyme City in particular is just a nod to the source material and likely wont show up in any game besides Detective Pikachu sequels. Maybe referenced in Gen 8 though.
